This is a long form text area designed for your content that you can fill up with as many words as your heart desires. You can write articles, long mission statements, company policies, executive profiles, company awards/distinctions, office locations, shareholder reports, whitepapers, media mentions and other pieces of content that don’t fit into a shorter, more succinct space.
Articles – Good topics for articles include anything related to your company – recent changes to operations, the latest company softball game – or the industry you’re in. General business trends (think national and even international) are great article fodder, too. Mission statements – You can tell a lot about a company by its mission statement. Don’t have one? Now might be a good time to create one and post it here. A good mission statement tells you what drives a Red Wing Boat Company has been owned and operated for 59 years by Clyde (Little Man) & Elizabeth Lester. They originally opened as Lester Lumber & Building where they started building houses. When the housing market crashed, they took the wood and started building wooden boats, and then the shop became East End Tackle in the40’s. After a while, they changed their name to Red Wing Boat Company, Inc and it has been family operated ever since. Through the years, they have handled from Lamar, Robalo, Champion, Avengers, Scatcraft, Pridecraft, Duracraft, Ouachita, Crestliner, Slickcraft, Stratos, and currently sell Blackjack, Frontier, Parker, Gulf Coast, and SouthWind Deck Boats. They have had a few set backs, such as a fire, which was a total loss in 1977. Due to many friends and manufactures, they came back stronger than ever. Red Wing has been a member of the BoatingTrades Association of Metropolitan Houston for many years. Clyde and Fred Lester have served on the Boat Show board and many committees. Fred has also served as President three different times. Clyde received the Bill Ferguson Award in 2004, which this award is given to people who have contributed many years to the boating industry. The whole family was extremely proud of him and less than a month later, Clyde passed away. The company is currently run by Clyde and Elizabeth’s children; Barbara, Ralph, and Fred, as well as many other employees through the years who have become part of our Family. The company currently sells new and used boats, sell and service Evinrude and Yamaha motors, and carry many parts and accessories in stock. Our Commitment is to give our customer’s the Best Prices, Quality of Service they deserve, and a Sense of Pride in the purchases they make.
